Reviewers Guidelines

Guidelines for Reviewers
OPENPUB’s peer-review process is a cornerstone of our commitment to high-quality, credible research. As a reviewer, you play an essential role in maintaining the scientific rigor and integrity of the articles we publish.

Expectations and Responsibilities

  1. Confidentiality: All submitted manuscripts must be treated as confidential. Reviewers should not share or discuss the contents of a manuscript with anyone outside the review process.
  2. Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted impartially. Reviewers should evaluate the manuscript based on its scientific merit and quality, not personal biases or conflicts of interest.
  3. Constructive Feedback: The goal of peer review is to help authors improve their work. Reviewers should provide constructive, actionable feedback that highlights strengths as well as areas for improvement.
  4. Timeliness: Timely reviews are crucial for the publication process. Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the given timeframe. If additional time is needed, reviewers should inform the editorial team.
  5. Conflicts of Interest: If a reviewer has a conflict of interest related to the manuscript, they must disclose it and recuse themselves from the review process.
  6. Ethical Considerations: Reviewers should ensure that the manuscript adheres to ethical standards, including research involving human or animal subjects, data integrity, and plagiarism.
  7. Reviewer Recognition: OPENPUB values the contributions of our reviewers and recognizes their efforts through certificates, membership opportunities, and public acknowledgment.
