OPENPUB’s peer-review process is a cornerstone of our commitment to high-quality, credible research. As a reviewer, you play an essential role in maintaining the scientific rigor and integrity of the articles we publish.
Expectations and Responsibilities
- Confidentiality: All submitted manuscripts must be treated as confidential. Reviewers should not share or discuss the contents of a manuscript with anyone outside the review process.
- Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted impartially. Reviewers should evaluate the manuscript based on its scientific merit and quality, not personal biases or conflicts of interest.
- Constructive Feedback: The goal of peer review is to help authors improve their work. Reviewers should provide constructive, actionable feedback that highlights strengths as well as areas for improvement.
- Timeliness: Timely reviews are crucial for the publication process. Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the given timeframe. If additional time is needed, reviewers should inform the editorial team.
- Conflicts of Interest: If a reviewer has a conflict of interest related to the manuscript, they must disclose it and recuse themselves from the review process.
- Ethical Considerations: Reviewers should ensure that the manuscript adheres to ethical standards, including research involving human or animal subjects, data integrity, and plagiarism.
- Reviewer Recognition: OPENPUB values the contributions of our reviewers and recognizes their efforts through certificates, membership opportunities, and public acknowledgment.
